There is nothing that excites me more than seeing the ideas you bring into my kitchen. Today, I want to show you a cake that never goes out of style and that I absolutely love making: my Single-Tier Red and White Mickey Mouse Cake.
To me, this design is pure perfection: simple, vibrant, and packed with joy. It truly is the star of any birthday party!
Many of you ask me what makes my cakes so special, and the answer is always the same: the Bizcocho Dominicano.
In my home, we don’t use anything else. I bake this cake for you with the same recipe my grandmother taught me: a super tender, buttery, and juicy crumb, with that hint of vanilla and citrus that takes us straight back to the island. It is my heart in every bite!
And, of course, the finish could only be our Dominican Suspiro (my meringue). Just look at that red and white—it’s the perfect combination! The Suspiro doesn’t just look gorgeous and hold up well for any party; it’s that light, sweet layer that balances the flavor of the bizcocho so perfectly.
